Experiences, thematic approaches and processing« Project outline: Building on my research into experiences of violence during childhood, this project focuses on experiences of violence in different phases of life. I am concentrating in particular on old age and am investigating – empirically, historically and theoretically – the relationship between experiences of violence during childhood and old age. Scholarly profile of Sabine Andresen Sabine Andresen has been a professor of social pedagogy and family research at Goethe University Frankfurt since 2011. Also, she is chairperson of the Independent Commission for the Investigation of Sexual Child Abuse, which was founded in 2016 by resolution of the German Bundestag, and vice-president of the Deutsche Kinderschutzbund (German child protection league). In 2017, she became a member of the Mainz Academy of Science and Literature.
