Reception and ConcertThe reception will take place in honour of Professor Menachem Fisch, who will hold a visiting professorship funded by the Dagmar Westberg Foundation at Goethe University in January. Professor Sophia Jaffé (violin) and Nami Ejiri (piano) will perform works by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Ernest Bloch.
Menachem Fisch is Joseph and Ceil Mazer Professor Emeritus of History and Philosophy of Science nd Director of the Center for Religious and Interreligious Studies at Tel Aviv University. As part of the Visiting Professorship, he will give four lectures entitled
Dialogues of Reason: Science, Politics, Religion at the Goethe University (22, 23, 27, 29.01.2020, 6-8 pm, Campus Westend, Casino Building, Festsaal and Renate von Metzler-Saal; a colloquium at the Forschungekolleg Humanwissenschaften will follow on 30.01. from 10-16 pm)
