On Scientific Monism and Religious Pluralism«Projektbeschreibung: I work on pluralism in science and religion. Philosophy of science has taken a pluralistic turn recently. In discussions about the relationship between science and religion, however, scientific monism is still the default position. The aim of the research project is to confront theological discussions about religious pluralism with accounts of scientific pluralism. Religious pluralism as intended in the project means both diversity of religions and diversity within religions. Three phenomena of religious pluralism are of particular interest: the relationship between Judaism and Christianity, the ecclesiological diversity in Christianity, and the theological heterogeneity of the Bible.
