Yael Peled![]() Reseach associate at the Institute for Health and Social Policy, McGill University Montreal Resident at the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften: April 2019–July 2019Research topic at the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften: »Language as a Complex System: Its Sociocultural Basis and Ethical and Policy Challenges«Project outline: As complexity fellow, I draw on my interdisciplinary expertise to examine the moral and political life of language in relation to questions of agency, autonomy and intentionality. My complexity project builds on insights from complexity theory to explore the social, cultural and policy implications of language in a world of complex moral orders, examining the applied ethics of related topics in contemporary debates such as immigration and integration, and their epistemic and (inter)disciplinary foundations. It is funded by the Aventis Foundation over a period of three years (2017–2019).
